
Endless Vacation Mobile App

UX/UI and visual design for the Endless Vacation app, a mobile source for travel inspiration, planning, and booking featuring elegant design and an array of digital extras.

The Ask
To create a mobile-first app for RCI-subscribing members to access travel inspiration content and book their next trips as well as to inspire non-members to join the RCI timeshare community.

User + Competitive Research
Distributed surveys on travel planning, booking, and research to all RCI members to collect data on behaviors, patterns, and preferences in vacation planning. Utilized data from industry intelligence platforms such as Skift as well as the U.S. Census Bureau to gain a broader perspective on how people travel, spend, and interact digitally. Conducted competitive research of other travel and content-forward apps to gain insight on and evaluate impact of current trends.
One key finding from the RCI member survey was that 30% of tenured members booked a vacation as a result of exposure to inspirational coverage and the majority of those bookings were to destinations they had not previously considered. This legitimizes editorial content as an effective tool for driving transactions and validates its significance to the app.

Initial Design
Based on the research findings, developed information architecture and sketched out preliminary templates for primary screens. Leveraged customer insight around impact of inspirational content to inform design and strategic inclusion of engaging visuals and compelling storytelling.

User Interface
The content-rich app has clean, streamlined design that balances functionality and aesthetics.

Easy navigation, resort information integration, and instant trip-booking ability.
